In Civitanova Marche, an Italian seaside town on the Adriatic Coast, a 39-year-old man named Ogorchukwu was fatally beaten by an Italian man on a busy shopping street.

The widow of Ogorchukwu Alika, a Nigerian who was killed by an Italian in the European nation, has been pleading with the Italian government for employment, according to Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).

Dabiri-Erewa added that the Italian police had detained the alleged murderer of Ogorchukwu Alika, noting that the deceased was the family's primary provider.

This was revealed by Dabiri-Erewa in a statement released on Tuesday by Gabriel Odu of the NiDCOM Media, Public Relations, and Protocols Unit.

On the death of 39-year-old Ogorchukwu at the hands of an Italian man in Civitanova Marche, an Italian seaside town on the Adriatic coast.

In response to the incident that occurred last Friday, the chairman of NiDCOM stated that the Italian police were collaborating and working with the Nigerian mission in Italy to ensure that the victim received justice and that the offender was made to suffer the consequences he deserves.

"The suspect in the murder of Mr. Ogochukwu Alika has been arrested by the Italian police and is expected to be charged to court," the NiDCOM boss said in a statement shared on her verified Twitter page.

The Nigerian mission in Italy is asking the Italian government to give Mrs. Alika, a widow, a good job so she can support her family since she is currently the family's sole provider.

In the meantime, Dabiri-Erewa thanked the Nigerian community in Italy, as well as various groups and people there, for coming together to support and raise money for the late Alika's family since his passing.

Before being brutally murdered by the Italian man who used late Alika's crutches to beat him to death, the deceased was reportedly a physically challenged Nigerian street vendor.

The NiDCOM Chairman also reported that the Canadian authorities had confirmed the identification of a suspect they believe was responsible for the murder of two young Nigerians, Tosin Amos Arowoshegbe and Chibueze Momoh, who were serving as security guards at a Canadian nightclub.

The Canadian authorities reportedly assured that they were attempting to determine what caused the terrible incident.
